My brother's coworkers were raving about this place so we decided to give it a try yesterday. They claimed to have "the world's best french dip" on their menu. I thought it was a little silly. Who can make a claim like that? Needless to say, I kept my expectations low. I can now say for the record that it was pretty good, but wouldn't go so far to say it was "world's best."

Their menu is very simple, which I like since I hate making decisions. They serve a top sirloin dip, prime rib dip and a few bbq sandwiches. I got the top sirloin, since my stomach was still thinking about that d.licious sirloin cut from Patagonia (see previous posts). But my brother made the better choice with the prime rib. While the sirloin was on the dry side, the prime rib was perfectly seasoned and juicy. The meat was also cut in chunkier slices, unlike the sirloin scraps that were difficult to keep even in the roll. Adding grilled onions for 50 cents sounded like a great idea to us, but skip this since they dice their onions (why would you do that?) and therefore it all falls out of your sandwich and never makes it to your mouth. Skip the onion rings too because you get more for your buck with the fries.
Not much else to say about this place. It's tiny... maybe 10 seats total, so don't bring an army with you. If you love french dips, then I'd give this place a try. If you're like me and like trying out new places to eat, then a trip here won't hurt you either. But I wouldn't necessarily make a drive out of the way to go here again, you know what I mean?
Next post: My favorite restaurant in the world! Stay tuned.
