Yelp it!
Paid my second visit to Bay Park last night, and it certainly did not disappoint. It's a cute place tucked away in Mission Bay, which was perfect since we were burning old Christmas trees at Fiesta Island :)
Awesome.
Back to food.
Bay Park specializes in fish. So if you come here, make sure you get some fish! Quick side rant: hate it when people go to a restaurant and get the most obscure thing on the menu, dislike it, and then say they don't like the restaurant. Back on topic. This is officially my favorite place in the world for a tuna melt. If you are a tuna melt person, you absolutely must come here. Their albacore tuna melt is divine. Comes with shoestring fries (yum!), tuna melt on wheat with tomato, and a coleslaw (which is meh). Must. Order.
Also good excellent choices are the halibut rolled tacos:
or the fish tacos:
I got mine with mahi-mahi, a-la-carte, panko crusted ($3.50); you can also get it grilled.
They also have halibut tacos ($4) a-la-carte; panko crusted or grilled also.
They also have 2 fish (or shrimp) taco plates for $9 with rice and beans. Halibut for $12.
Not bad for delicious tacos.
Also notables are the swordfish club, grilled catch of the day sandwich, and peach cobbler. I have yet to try their sushi, which I'm excited to do, since their fish is super fresh. And I also can't wait for a day when I can get off work early to go to their happy hour -- $2 fish tacos, $3 (I think, 25% off) beers, and 20% sushi. Awesomeness! Try Bay Park.
Second order of business:
San Diego Restaurant Week is back!
Make your reservations! It runs from January 17-22, unless they extend it again, which I hope they do. Hoping to hit up the Marine Room, and When in Rome or Trattoria Acqua. Go try some places! Let me know how they are :)
