It's slightly on the expensive side, so we decided that Restaurant Week would be the perfect opportunity to go. The pri-fixe menu was actually not too shabby. For our first course we both got the Filet Mignon Carpaccio, pretty impressive if you ask me. It was sliced so thinly that it fell apart as you picked it up with a fork. I was baffled over how they plated this one. The quality of the meat was good but maybe too good. I didn't have any complaints - I liked the small side of greens and fresh parmesan cheese it was served with - but it almost seemed liked a waste to be eating filet mignon like this!
For our main course, I ordered the "Potato Wrapped Salmon" and Jonathan ordered the Prime Rib. I was initially going to order the red meat, but the "potato wrapped" part got me intrigued. Unfortunately it was nothing out of the ordinary. Don't really know if you can call it potato wrapped when it was a few fried potato strings tossed on top.
All in all it was a good dining experience. It wasn't so impressive that I would go back, but if your looking for a new place to try in the limited Bay Area, maybe this is an option for you.
Happy eating.
